ESMA tells EU crypto firms to stop serving non-MiCA stablecoins, with a January 2027 deadline to clear exposures
ESMA's opinion of 8 October says authorised crypto firms must cease all services linked to stablecoins that do not comply with MiCA, block new client exposure and finish remediation within three months, by about 8 January 2027.
